Arrange the cucumbers vertically in the jar, after placing the dry spices and dill at the bottom. Add the vinegar, then fill with water, leaving about ¾ inch (2 cm) of space below the lid. Boil for 5 minutes from the moment the water starts to boil, then remove and let cool. Store in a cool, dark place.
